I am proud to support the Legacy10 campaign. So many London charities and arts institutions stand to benefit from the forthcoming inheritance tax changes, and I hope everyone in this great city signs up to this exciting initiative.
Brian Paddick
Mayoral candidate, GLA
I am very hopeful that Legacy10 will have a significant impact on the amount of funding that worthwhile causes receive. That is why we are making the 10% pledge and I call on others to do the same.
Lord Myners
Former, Financial Services Secretary
I am pleased to give my support to the Legacy10 campaign. I think this is a fantastic idea, rightly promoting leaving a legacy for charitable purposes in order to ensure that this becomes the norm, rather than the exception to the rule.
Boris Johnson
Mayor of London, GLA
The appeal of Legacy10 is its simplicity. We are asking people to make a contribution to their favourite cultural or charitable cause in their will, the benefit to that cause will be four times bigger than the small loss to the donor.
Roland Rudd
Founder, Legacy10
There is always a danger that in times of economic uncertainty, charitable and cultural donations dwindle. The upcoming changes in inheritance tax law present a real opportunity for individuals up and down the country to give to those causes that matter most to them.
Lord Myners
Former, Financial Services Secretary
I am pleased to back the foundation of Legacy10 and look to shake up the way we give. It promises to make a real difference to good causes.
Sir Richard Branson
Founder, Virgin Group
The goal of Legacy10 is to encourage a change in the way we in the UK regard legacy giving, and make it the norm for people to leave at least 10% of their wealth to good causes. I am encouraged that a number of people have already made the pledge. I call on others to follow their lead.
Roland Rudd
Chairman, RLM Finsbury
Londoners have a proud history of charitable giving, and so I am very happy to personally support the Legacy10 initiative.
Ken Livingstone
Mayoral candidate, GLA
I am so pleased that all of our main political leaders have not only chosen to support Legacy10 but have also made a personal commitment to change their wills to make the pledge.
Roland Rudd
Chairman, RLM Finsbury
I am delighted to be asked to be an ambassador for the Legacy10 initiative. I call on my fellow business leaders to follow suit in the run up to next April’s tax changes. We all need to lead by example, to show that giving to good causes has the potential to transform our society by the direct contribution of individuals.
Richard Reed
co-founder, Innocent Drinks
